The story
I got my forst computer in 1984. That was an Amstrad CPC 464, which came with nothing bu the manual for the
built-in BASIC. I learnt programming that way.
Later on, I had an Atari STf, then an STe, then a Falcon 030. I touched various versions of BASIC on the STf,
and then switched to pure assembly programming in 1990
After a very short trip in the world of C programming on Macintosh, I got my first BeOS machine in 1996,
and that's when the fun stuff starts
My current machines
I currently own 5 machines, all running BeOS. Those are :
- ludmille, the oldest one, currently a K6-2 500, which has no floppy, no CD, but contains 3 graphics cards
- amarjole, my BeBox dual-133, with a huge 5 1/4" full height hard drive
- isandine, my primary machine, currently a dual PentiumIII 500, with tons of various cards and peripherals
- clairise, my games machine, a dual Celeron 525, with a really huge joystick hooked to it
- valnelle, my laptop, ultra-light Sony Vaio, with a mobile PentiumII 333.
All my BeOS-related things, which represent the biggest part of this web site, are on a separate
page. Mostly, you'll find the useless apps that I have written :
- Night and Day
- Bing
- bf
- MediaInfo
- Useless Memory Monitor
